6 April 1892 — Florence | |
Wednesday. 6th April [1892]. We all went off at 11 to the Pitti & were there joined by the “Kangaroos” (Mrs White & sister). I found it very cold there & Henry & I & the Kangaroos came away at 12 leaving Ola & Nela– It was very hot & oppressive & sultry & I had a headache wh got worse as the day went on & I had to remain on the sofa & get to bed before 6. It was so hot I lay in bed with open windows till 11 P.M. | |
