1 June 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 1st June [1892]. Miss Ffoulkes & Mrs Hennbusten, Miss Hervey & Miss Dundas & Miss Dragi all came in the morning to see our pictures. The latter is a young lady from Hatfield who is becoming an artist & has a picture in this year’s Academy. A very nice simple quiet lady—abt 26– I sewed with Ola & Nela helping them over their shirts. Went to the Eden’s garden with Henry in afternoon– After dinner Henry & Nela went to the Piazza– A lovely moonlit night. I & Ola went out in sandolo– We met the Belmondos in theirs & floated side by side near St Giorgi’s talking till it was time to come home to bed– | |
