4 July 1892 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Monday. 4th July [1892]. A very hot day & did not go out till after tea. The Ponsonby boys returned to school after lunch to wh Blanche came. Henry took them out to have ices at Gunter’s. Fanny Hill James née Arkwright came to lunch with us. I took her driving with me & left her in Eaton Sqr. I went on to leave cards on Mme Reyntiens & at her door met Nelly Alderson on the same errand so she got into the carriage with me & I brought her home to dine with us.
