30 August 1892 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Tuesday. 30th [August 1892]. Rosa my maid asked if she might go & see an American lady who wished to engage her so she left my packing & went off—& came back abt 3 to say she had got the place. I therefore hastily called Bertha our cook & told her to come with us to the Rates & told Rosa to tidy my things & to leave on Saty (as I was sick of her cross face & her want of heart). We went to Milton by 4 P.M. train. Found Mr & Mrs Douro Hoare there. | |
