30 September 1892 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Friday. 30th [September 1892]. Rain in morning but it cleared later & after 4 o’cl tea Mr Malcolm took us all down to the new steam saw mills wh have been erected on his property. There we saw 8 planks sawn at once & it was very interesting but Mr Malcolm does not seem to think it so profitable or practical as the old system. He drove down some of us in the carriage the rest walked. Read aloud to Henry. Packed. | |
