1 October 1892 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Saturday. 1st October [1892]. Henry & I & Ola set off at 8 with Bertha in Mr Malcolm’s carriage—old Giuseppe driving us to Vittorio. We got there at 11.15. Went to the Albergo Vittorio & got a little luncheon & started by 12 o’cl train for Venice. It was very hot & rain threatened but we got to Venice at 2.15 without rain. Glad to get home & found it in good order. Our servant John went down to Belluno with the heavy luggage & reached here at 6. Unpacked. Tea at 4. Dined at 7. Mr Eden came to see us. Henry & Ola went out in gondola by moonlight, I to bed. | |
