3 October 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 3rd [October 1892]. Unpacked, arranged things. Did not go out at all being tired & hot. Ola & Henry went to the Piazza. Tea in studio. Had a visit from Mr Penrice just before dinner. A pleasant man & a gentleman. The Colnaghi family & Mr Malcolm dined with us. We all played patience in eveng except Ola, Lady C. & Fanny C. who went for a row by moonlight. Lovely night & very hot. New Vaudoise maid arrived. | |
