24 November 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 24th November [1892]. All the patients better & Dr Cini allowed Stella to go into my studio & to eat a little chicken. He highly approves of Venice for a place of residence for Stella & says the quiet will be very good for her nerves. She is allowed to practise her violin 5 hours today wh makes her very happy. She read aloud a good deal to Henry. Ola was also better & we were all at lunch & dinner together once more tho’ upstairs in my studio. I went out in the afternoon in gondola. Went to see Mrs Eden who was much better. Came in for tea & Belmondo came to tea & spent some talk talking. I read aloud to Henry before dinner & we looked over the large books on Nineveh with him in the evening.
