28 November 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 28th [November 1892]. I remained in bed till lunch & wrote a heap of letters. I took out Stella at 3 to see the Baroness de Pury’s apartment. It is small but comfortably furnished. I brought her straight home & then went to call on Mrs Brown who was at home– Lovely weather still. Ola went after dinner to a party at Mme Wiel’s. Stella played the Chaconne of Bach to me & Henry before bed time. A splendid thing wh take ¼ hour to play & has no piano accompaniment. | |
