10 December 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 10th December [1892]. I got up at 11—better. Wrote. After lunch I went out with Henry—we walked on the Piazzetta. It was very cold—damp & dull. The sun wh was out in the morning had gone. Mr Passini came to call & to ask me to let him do my portrait again wh he did this spring so unsuccessfully & I agreed to sit to him on Monday. Clara & Mr Montalba came also. Stella came & read to Henry & her mother joined her to dinner. Mr Dyer had a toothache & could not come. Belmondo also dined.
