25 December 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 25th December [1892]. Christmas Day. Henry, Monty, Ola & I went to morning service & fetched Ida & took her also. Monty played the organ & the singing went well– We went again to afternoon service & Henry fetched me afterwards & brought me home. Mrs & Mr Dyer & Stella dined with us & the latter played the violin in the evening– Mr & Mrs Moscheles & a Mr Goldschmidt a German socialist, M. Peance in the evening to hear her—but as they were rather late they only heard one piece. Mr Malcolm paid me a visit at 5—being better. | |
