4 February 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 4th February [1893]. Fine day but windy. Breakfasted in bed. Wrote letters when I got up. Henry went out with the Dyers who fetched him. Ola went to the Choir practise. I went out paying visits but found no one in. It was blowing a bora—& was cold. Duchess della Grazia came to tea with the two girls– Later Ida Belmondo came– It seems old Count Beppi Valmarana is very ill & there is a report he is dead wh however turns out not to be true. This is a sad winter–
