6 February 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 6th [February 1893]. Ola was not well & did not get up. Ersilia Canevaro came to call on us directly after lunch. It was so fine & warm we sat in the Belvedere. We went out abt 3 to the Eden’s garden & there took a walk. Mr Eden was there. There was a slight thaw—& it was chilly tho’ the sun was warm. I dropped Henry at home & went on to call on Mme Stefani who had asked me to come—then I returned home to tea. The Duc della Grazia came to call & Henry came downstairs & we had a long chat. | |
