21 March 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 21st March [1893]. As there was lawn tennis again today at the Della Grazia’s I went equipped for playing & had several games but played very badly. It was colder today than usual & I took my fur coat to put on after playing. Ola & I went to the Fenice invited by Mme Noce to her box. We saw a stupid new opera called La Feste di Mare. The author was called on several times & applauded—(he is a Venetian) but the music was not worth listening to. | |
