29 October 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 29th [October 1893]. I & Nela went in the gondola to fetch Pss Charlotte & Fraulein v. Rauch & to take them to our church & afterwards left them at their hotel. Soon after one we all of us went to the station to see HRH off by 1.40 train to Munich. It was a lovely day & she was very unhappy at leaving Italy & going to the North & the cold. She stood in the sun on the steps of the station taking her last warm at its rays– She declares she must come back next Sept. while her husband is at the manoeuvres. We came home to lunch at 2. At 3.30 Ola & I went to church. | |
