28 November 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 28th [November 1893]. Henry was better so after breakfast I went off to the studio at Casa Raffaelli with Nela & we worked at a chrysanthemum till 12 & then hastened home– We had told the model not to come today. Henry lunched upstairs. The girls all went by steamer to the Lido to walk after 1 o’cl lunch. Henry did not go out. I went to see Ersilia Canevaro who was in. I called also on Mme Revel the wife of the Vaudois pasteur & also saw her. Came home to tea & found that Mrs Eden had been to sit with Henry very kindly. I went over also to the garden for a few moments as it was such a lovely day but did not see the Padroni only Miss Parnell. Mr Hulton came to tea with us. Count Agostini & Signor Prof. Trombini dined with us & Mrs Blundell Leigh & we had some music. Ersilia promised to come but failed us at the last minute.
