14 December 1893 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 14th [December 1893]. I woke with a headache & breakfasted in bed but was able to get up & go to the studio at 10 with Nela. We came & went in gondola– Lunched at 1 & the girls went by steamer to Malamocco all but Lina who went out with Henry. I stayed in & wrote letters. Had tea. Olga Montenegro called with the Baronne de Pury. I read aloud to Henry. After dinner I was taken with dreadful pains & got faint—an indigestion. Had to go to bed. | |
