6 January 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 6th January [1894]. Wild morning—& snow. I went off to the studio in gondola & had it to fetch me home as there was no walking & it was bitterly cold. I dropped a parcel of food into the hands of the old woman in the Calle & had to run for it. There was no going out any more—& no one came to see us. Music in the evening. | |
