Saturday. 27th January [1894]. Painted all morning. Lunch at 1. Went for a walk in afternoon up the Via Roma to the new galleria Umberto a new arcade built in imitation of the one at Milan—of fine proportions with large shops. Took a cab back to the hotel. Dined at 7. Patience. | |
