26 January 1894 — Naples | |
Friday. 26th January [1894]. Painted the view of Vesuvius & the bay out of the sittingroom window. Lunch at one. Showery afternoon so that we could not get out till 4.30 when we walked along the seawall to the Hotel Vesuvius to leave cards on D. Carlo d’Adda & his granddaughter Margharita Brandolin. It was 6 before we got back to the hotel. Dined at 7. Patience. | |
