Sunday. 18th March [1894]. Went to morning church with Katie Colnaghi. Got another telegram to say the Montagus will arrive on Monday very early in morng. Ersilia Canevaro came to tea in afternoon & recounted her troubles with her son José, how he got into debt before he came of age & their old servant who had been with them 20 years had aided & abetted him. Mr Dyer dined. | |
