22 March 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 22nd [March 1894]. To the studio. Lovely weather. The others all went to S. Mark’s to see the washing of the feet of the 12 poor men & to see the procession. Practised the guitar after lunch & walked with Katie Colnaghi to 5 oclock church & Nety met us & we came home together in gondola. Mr Carey came to call as we were having tea– I read aloud to Henry before dinner. Girls went out in eveng. I played Halma in eveng with Nety. | |
