24 April 1894 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Tuesday. 24th April [1894]. Augusta Gregory & I walked out in the morning to try & find 2nd hand furniture for her rooms in the stores near. I was not fit for much not having slept very well from over excitement & so it was better to go out. Henry got up at 11 & lay on the sofa in my room– I can hardly yet believe that my great anxiety is over. I went in a bird shop in Gt Portland St to see abt getting birds to sell at the flower stall Blanche wants me to hold at her sale of Irish work on Friday & Saty next. It was a showery day & came on to rain hard in the afternoon– Augusta & I drove in the afternoon & took Ruth & Maria with us. Left Augusta at Lady Morris & Maria & Ruth to pay a visit & came home. Sir Henry Thompson sent to tell me he has taken tickets for Daly’s theatre for tomorrow night to see “Twelfth night.” Augusta dined out so I invited Nurse Watson to dine with me—& afterwards sat & read to Henry.
