11 August 1894 — Devonshire House, Weymouth
Saturday. 11th August [1894]. I was up to 8 o’cl breakfast & then arranged all Henry’s letters of Aunt Mary & copied 3 of them out in a book. They are very interesting—all his work—his hopes his difficulties—but it made me very sad– After lunch I wrote again till nearly 4 when I went for a walk & then to the station to meet my sister Constance Eliot who is come to me for 2 or 3 days from Canford where she has been at the coming of age party for Ivor the eldest son– Her train was ½ hour late so we only got back to tea past 5. Sat & talked till dinner at 7.30 & then talked again till bed time 10.
