1 September 1894 — Devonshire House, Weymouth | |
Saturday. 1st September [1894]. Breakfast at 8 & copied letters all day. They were accounts of the battles of Alma & Inkermann & most interesting. I had invited Nela to come here today. She telegraphed she could not come. Went to the gardens after tea & took a walk. Foggy early & late—but the middle of the day fine. | |
