15 December 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 15th [December 1894]. Wrote a lot of letters. Sr Zuccato came to see me & I handed over to him the money for 4 years to keep up the grave of Mrs Higford Burr sent by her son Higford. Ola got up for luncheon. Directly afterwards I went in gondola to fetch Iduna & we walked up & down the Public Gardens for a long time. Dull weather & threatens snow. Iduna came back with me to tea & stayed till 6.30. I wrote more letters. Edith Bronson dined with Ola & me at 7.30 & the two girls went off together to the Verdi Concert given at the Rossini theatre. I played patience & worked.
