14 December 1894 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 14th December [1894]. Worked at silk embroidery in morning. Ola still in bed. Edith Bronson came to lunch with me—& we went out in gondola together to Eden’s garden & then joined Mrs Bronson to walk on the Zattere. No one came to tea & I read till dinner time & finished Centelli’s life of Catarina Cornaro. Iduna & Belmondo dined with me & she & I played besique in evening. Cold frosty weather. | |
