17 February 1895 — Cairo | |
Sunday. 17th February [1895]. I went to the early service at 8.30 with Elaine & I went to church again at 11. After lunch I sat talking a long time to Major E. Bourke about Religion & the Bible & then went up to write in my room. Elaine fetched me down to see Lady Alfred Churchill & her daughter who had driven out from Cairo & they remained to tea with us. | |
