17 April 1895 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 17th April [1895]. Copied water colour drawing of Brugnolis at home in the morning. Just after lunch Mrs Eden came in to see us on her way to the station to meet the Archbishop of York & Mrs Maclagan who have come to stay with them two nights. Elaine & I went out in gondola to the Public Gardens & took a stroll there. Ola in sandolo. Mr Hulton called & we talked over with him his lately published novel “Olympia’s Diary” which is very clever. | |
