29 April 1895 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 29th [April 1895]. The girls went out with Edith Bronson who lunched with us to see the King & Queen arrive in Venice. They have come to stay a few days to open the Art Exhibition in the public gardens which we went to see yesterday. Sr Astolfi came to bring me all my accts & to wind up with the house of Malcolm as they no longer wish me to bank with them. After all these years the last link with the house of Malcolm is thus broken. Went to Eden’s garden to sketch with Sr Brugnoli. | |
