30 April 1895 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 30th [April 1895]. Elaine went off at 9.30 to join the Edens & to see the opening of the Exhibition. Ola went to Danielle’s to see it from the old Dss of Northumberland’s rooms. I got up late having rather a headache. Sr Blumenthal came to see me & I put my affairs in his hands that I had taken from the house of Malcolm. Ola & I went out in gondola in afternoon to the Eden’s garden & finding no one there but the owners stayed & walked there & picked lilies of the valley & iris. After dinner the girls went out to see the fireworks & came home abt 10.30. | |
