7 May 1895 — Bâle | |
Tuesday. 7th [May 1895]. Our coffee was given in the car abt 7.30 & the cross lady made us all get up to have the beds made because she could not sit up comfortably & did not want to lie down. Got to Calais abt 12.30. Had a private cabin—rough crossing but we kept well. Arrived at Charing Cross about 5. Maria Du Cane came to station to meet us. Elaine remained at No 1 Q. Anne St with me. Blanche came to see me. Bed early. | |
