26 May 1895 — Devonshire House, Weymouth
Sunday. 26th May [1895]. We breakfasted at 9.30 & spent the morng talking & I read her some of Henry’s letters to his mother & consulted her about publishing. We wrote letters till lunch & then abt 3.30 went for a walk along the downs to the ruins of Sandsfoot Castle & then sketched there. It was a lovely day the first really fine day we have had here. Came home to tea & then went to sit on the pier & read up the history of Weymouth.
