28 May 1895 — Devonshire House, Weymouth
Tuesday. 28th [May 1895]. I left Weymouth & returned to town by 10.10 train. Maria & Olwen called. Also Katie Bagot whom I had not seen since Lady Bagot’s death. She was very very sad. Mr Rate came to see me & I discussed at length with him the project of going to live at Savile Row. He was very kind & sympathetic. Connie Eliot came to dine with me and stayed late talking. She is torn & hurt about little nothings & is difficult to soothe.
