10 June 1895 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny
Monday. 10th [June 1895]. Blanche & I went for a walk in the garden & took our last look at the place. Lunched at 1 & then went to Fiddown station & left for England by the mail train which was very full & we could not all get seats in the same compartment. We got to Kingstown abt 7.30 & went on the steamer at once & had a splendidly calm passage & were able to have our food on the way. Got to Holyhead abt 11 & got into the London train. Had a compartment to ourselves.
