5 August 1895 — Branksome Dene, Poole, Dorset | |
Monday. 5th [August 1895]. The weather got worse & it rained hard which was regrettable for the poor people who were keeping bank holiday. Nela & Izzie were thinking of going over to Canford but had to give it up. My brother Monty had written to say he was coming over from Cowes to see me—but did not come. Daisy & Ruth joined the party in the afternoon. Played Patience in the evening. | |
