6 August 1895 — Branksome Dene, Poole, Dorset | |
Tuesday. 6th [August 1895]. I practised typewriting. Read aloud to Maria some of our mother’s Journals wh she had kept all her life thro. After tea Maria & I drove with Izzie to the town & left her there with her sisters who met her. Maria & I drove on to the Wimborne road & thro’ the Talbot woods home again. The villas being built in every direction are wonderful—remembering as we do when Bournemouth consisted of ½ dozen houses & 2 hotels! Patience in evening. | |
