7 August 1895 — Branksome Dene, Poole, Dorset
Wednesday. 7th [August 1895]. I coloured an embroidery design in morng for the Garry Hill Industry to be sent for competition to an Exhibition at Dublin. Elaine & Rosie Guest drove over from Canford to luncheon & went off directly after to a flower show at Poole. They persuaded me to go for two nights to Canford so I went by 5 o’cl tram to Wimborne. Read the Journal to Maria for some time before starting. Found Lionel & little Oscar at Canford. Ivor & Cornelia are abroad in Switzerland. Sat in Elaine’s sitting room upstairs in the eveng.
