24 August 1895 — Branksome Dene, Poole, Dorset | |
Saturday. 24th [August 1895]. Worked & read aloud to Maria in morning. After lunch Maria & I drove in a fly to Pritchard’s Nursery garden at Christchurch & saw a charming collection & found Mr Pritchard a nice intelligent man. Got back late to tea. Capt. Du Cane left. We had tea on the lawn. I wrote letters till dinner. Patience in evening. | |
