25 August 1895 — Branksome Dene, Poole, Dorset | |
Sunday. 25th August [1895]. Maria & I went in a fly to S. Michael’s church & on to Sebera to enquire whether Merthyr & Theo had arrived we found them there & their daughter Augusta also. We sat with them some time & drove back to B. Dene abt 2 & got some luncheon. Theo has been ailing & was sitting out in the garden. We carried off Augusta to lunch with us & later Merthyr walked over to fetch her. We walked back to Sebera & had tea there & Merthyr walked back as far as B. Dene with us & then returned home to dinner. | |
