19 October 1895 — 40 Half Moon Street
Saturday. 19th [October 1895]. I went at 11 to Dr Chamberlain the American dentist to have my front teeth stopped. He is a very pleasant little man. He spends the winters in Rome & comes here from May to Novr. He is also very clever. I went afterwards to call & enquire after Sir Henry Thompson. He was out but afterwards I met him & Mr Herring walking & went a little way with them & then back to lunch in the studio. The workmen left at 12 so there was not much to do in the afternoon– Arthur went away to Bere middle day.
