20 October 1895 — 40 Half Moon Street
Sunday. 20th October [1895]. I remained in bed till after lunch. Monty came to see me in the morning & talked about Savile Row with which he is pleased. Several people came to tea in afternoon—amongst them Sir Arthur Otway & Mrs La Ferrière (Susan Hambro’s daughter) & Mr Fraser who invited me & the 2 girls to dine with him at the Wellington Club. We did so & had an excellent dinner & met Mr Jocelyn Persse Lady Gregory’s nephew not a very intelligent youth.
