1 November 1895 — 3 Savile Row | |
Friday. 1st [November 1895]. I went in the morning to the dentist & on my return found Elaine waiting to see me; she had not time to remain & promised to return & dine—but later she came to say she could not do so. Maria came to lunch & afterwards I walked her home & at 4 went back to the dentist & returned home to tea. Monty came in & we went over this house together. Eda went to dine with the Rodneys & accompanied them to the theatre. Nelly & I dined alone. | |
