Tuesday. 3rd December [1895]. I went off at 12 to Cav. Sqr to help Blanche & look through Mama’s books—& stayed to luncheon there. Afterwards walked to see Lady Thompson in Wimpole Street & then down to Q. Anne’s Mansions to tea with Lady Gregory & met Mr Henry James the American author & Sir F. Burton. I first went to see Mr J. Murray & arranged with him to give Henry’s MSS autobiography to be type written. I there met Mr Prothero, the editor of the Quarterly. Arthur DC. dined with me. | |
