Wednesday. 8th [January 1896]. Mrs Ball came to lunch with me & sat talking for some time afterwards. It was a dark, dull day & it required all my courage to go for a walk & I made it a short one. Ruth & Nela Du Cane came to tea & stayed some time. | |
