11 January 1896 — Springfield Lodge, nr. Dorking, Surrey | |
Saturday. 11th [January 1896]. Worked in the house arranging things & after lunch went to see Mrs Rate & I had tea with her she being still in bed. She sent us to the station in her carriage & we returned to town by dinner time. Nela dined with me & went home afterwards when Bertha had arrived with our luggage. | |
