27 January 1896 — Milton Court, nr. Dorking, Surrey | |
Monday. 27th [January 1896]. Drove with Mrs R. in the morning to make enquiries as to the expense of putting up a pergola in Springfield Garden & also to old furniture shop & bought a china cupboard wh afterwards Mrs R. took instead. After lunch I left Milton by 3.47 train. Mrs Rate & E. took me to the station in the brougham. I reached home at 5. Found Nellie Alderson was returned to town & she came to dinner with me. | |
