Tuesday. 28th January [1896]. Wrote in morning. Walked to Hertford St to lunch with the Misses Duff Gordon to meet Lady Somers. As I had not seen her since Henry’s death I thought I would try to go & see her first at her daughter Addies. She was not there but I found Addie just going to walk in Hamilton Gardens so I took a turn with her there & then went to lunch—which tried me a good deal & I was glad when it was over & I went home. | |
