11 May 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 11th May [1896]. I went to sit to Passini in the morning. After lunch I took Aline out for a row in gondola—up the Canal by the Canareggio round outside the town by SS Giov. & Paolo back to the Piazzetta. I took her into St Marks for her last view of it & then brought her home. Mrs & Miss Lambton & Mr Ralph Lambton came to tea. Aline was able to dine downstairs & seemed better. | |
