31 May 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 31st [May 1896]. Went to morning church with Augusta taking Iduna en route. Aug: went to Accademia afterwards & I took Id: to San Moisé & then came home. After tea out in gondola with Augusta to call on the Dss della Grazia who was not in, & then to the Eden’s garden & they gave us quantities of lovely roses. We found them alone. Mme Villari who was there when we arrived was leaving so we enjoyed a quiet walk & talk & then we got back home to dinner at 8. Read & work in the eveng. | |
